D-Link router and airprint

I have a D-Link DSL-2750U (Telkom) router with my HP P1005 printer plugged into the router's USB port and it works well over WiFi for both my PC and laptop. Is there a means to get my wife's iPad to communicate with this printer?
It is set up as 10.0.0.2:631/printers/HP

You may need another PC to act as the "Advertiser" of the print queue, so that it is visible to the ipad.

Basically, airprint printers advertise the service using rendezvous/bonjour. I doubt that the DLink is doing this, or can be configured to do this. Instead you may need to share the print queue from another machine, that can be configured with Rendezvous/Bonjour to advertise the service appropriately.

I don't have any PCs on UTP, only wireless, so that will not work. The reason for the printer on the router is so that it is independent of a computer. Thanks for the advice, but it won't help in this case....

It doesn't have to be wired, just reachable, so wireless would be fine. But if having a PC on is a problem, you might want to consider a new router, then. Or maybe a fancy(er) print server.

Yeah you'll need a PC/Mac to act as an AirPrint "Shared Printer" if the hardware itself doesn't support it directly.

-New Air print printer or new router (Apple's Airport express works well).

Been down this road. Same router same issues. Bought an ASUS router and had the exact same issue. Really wish I had kept my Dovado router.
