D-link router cannot access internet

Hi all,
I have connected a D-link router to a D-link modem,trying to get access internet for a laptop and a desktop. However, the desktop is realy slow to browse websites and the laptop cannot even browse any website. The laptop is company one, so I wonder if it needs any setting changes?

PS, anyone can also tell me what's the local NDS, I am around Morningside, JHB

Do you mean DNS? You get this from your ISP - check their support website - who you with?
