D link router modem no connection to browser and CD setup anomoly

Ag nee!! 2 months later and my Telkom ADSL line is in. Now I am blocked by the following:


Using the CD that came with it asks for a link? There is nothing on the back or bottom of the router that says its a key number. See screenshot.

192.168.1.1 gets refused the connection. See screenshot.

Pulling my last 3 hair out.

Should rather change it to automatic and connect by network cable so DHCP will kick in. Can then access the router via a browser to set up (that's why I wanted to know the model to see the default router IP).

You're supposed to enter a password in that field (you make it up). You'll use it on you PC/tablet/phone to connect to the router.

Its a d link dsl 274ou or 0u on the back of the router but on the box it says N300

@=r##%! I now went online from my ADSL and is back on my phone. Frustrated as many people are willing to help me at this time but, here is the picture.

You must not use mine (192.168.0.1).

Follow the steps to see what yours uses.

Hi Biometrics, Im eventually online with my MTN Samsung phone hotspot connection which is terrible, thus my ADSL connection. Here is a pic of the router in the link :
