D3: High Level Char Stats

Ya, if anyone is keen let me know, we can help u through hell and then do inferno together
I think I posted my battle tag a page or 2 back

I am nearing the end of ACT II on inferno. I have been farming for gold and gear. Lots of improvement needed for my items, I think in a week or two act 3 will be possible.

So I'm in Act 3 in Hell and getting have just met Tyreal on the other of the battleground.
My stats have really varied as I've found gear that I like....

Level: 59
Class: Barbarian
Armour: still 4k
Dodge %: 16
Damage: 5.6k
HP: 25k

How are your resists? Biggest problem with 5 friends playing Barbs when they completed Hell, less than 100 resist = no progress in Inferno. They've had to level other characters to make money or been stuck farming hell

Only my Physical and Fire resists are above 100 :(
I already know I'll be farming a while before I try Inferno... I need to get my resists a LOT higher on average.

Level: 60(yay dinged today)
Class: Barbarian
Armour: 5860 or so
Dodge 17% i think
Damage: 6.3k
HP: 66k

Superstition,nails and Inspiring Presence :D

Funny, I watched a clip on someone that tried to "math" out whether it's more beneficial to stack health or resistence. It appears that resistences will be the order of the day. The problem is with a Barb who gains the highest benefit in armour (effectively dmg reduction) based on Vitality, the swapover becomes a little grey. A Barb really needs high everything to survive.

Something to ponder on, I found a piece of armour exactly the same as mine (226 armour + 3 slots) bar that instead of vitality it added dex. The one with dex increased my armour more....

After a while you will require more armour per % reduction, so at a point stacking vitality/dex/resistance is better overall for survivability.
for myself as a wizard im aiming for 6-7k armour as thats where the "sweet spot" for wizard seems to be if i can get there.

Level: 60
Class: Wizard
Progression: Act 1 Inferno
Armour: 4000
Dodge %:
Resist to all:
Damage: 29.7k
HP:27.7k

Let me put it this way for Barbs.

- Strenght, your most important stat. Aim for 1500 - 2000 for the endgame. Balance it with Vitality
- Dex, you want 100 = 10% dodge, don't stack more
- Intel, none. Not something you should worry about as other stats on items will give you more. If you get it on a nice item then cool, but don't look for it
- Vitality, very important. Aim for 70-100k @ the endgame. Like strenght 1500-2000. Balance it with Strenght

- Armour, your 2nd most important defense stat. Get it on every item. With your skill bonus you should get 12000 armour (80% against L60) Your goal before that as you gear is 9000 or if you go a more offensive style.
- Resistance to All, your most important. with up to +80 on items you can go as high as 1200 later. Try and get as much as you can. Every point of it is basically the same as 10 armour
-Melee/Range/Elite dmg decrease. This helps as obviously the harder parts are the bosses and specially the elites. Bonus if you can get this
- Shields & Block chance. Important with the right amounts. Not getting into detail here.
-Life %, very important. Always use a helm with socket with your highest Amethyst in there. End game you will be looking at about +50%
-Socketed Items. Aim for only 3 items tbh. Helm, Weapon & Chest (with 3 max sockets, not less). And NO ruby's in endgame weapons!

Other things like crit and attack speed and such depends on your build and playstyle.

Why no Ruby's? I can't think out of my head, but what other stats do the gems give a weapon other than increased damage?

On another note: Where is the best place to level up quickly? (I can get level 60 friends to help me breeze through it)

Who here has been to the secret level? I bought the staff for nomal level, is it worth it to upgrade? Would this be a good place to level maby?

There are 2 popular spots

Kulle runs

or Act 3 cannonball (there are youtube clips explaining)

Simply because end game weapons have loads of dmg on them and the little bit you get from a Ruby will not give you the same as something else.
Weapon socket should hold an amethyst for high speed attack builds with not enough healing or an emerald if you can aford it.

1-30 Zultan kulle, they kill him, you log in finish quest and repeat
30-40 Azmodan runs + the first guy in act 4

54-60 first boss in act 4 hell

Ok, so I'm in Act IV on Hell and here are my recent stats

Level: 60
Class: Barbarian
Armour: 4.3k
Dodge %: 14%
Resist to all: Varies. Highest 120, lowest 80
Damage: 7.5k
HP: 27k

I am going to do a rather harsh survival experiment though - in my eyes anyway. Going to try my hardest to keep my weapon (2h) in Inferno by swapping skills I like, with a completely different skillset that may help me live.

Level: 60
Class: WD
Armour: 4.3k
Dodge %: 14%
Resist to all: Varies. Highest 400, lowest 200

Azmodan's xp was nerfed into the ground...

30-50 Kulle Nightmare

50-60 Kulle Hell

How quick do you do the run and how much XP?

I discovered a spot in act two, where you teleport to that outpost and help the captain to get rid of the Magna intruders. The whole run takes probably around 2-4 mins and you get 17500XP for it (on nightmare, 50000 in hell).
