So, iTalk tell me that the D600 is available... Anyone played with one of these phones?

Virtually nothing was going to stand in the way of my K750i (when it finally arrives), but now I'm starting to wonder....

Any info-share would be appreciated.

Buy the K750i because it has a memory card,radio with RDS,AUTO FOCUS and you can use the phone like the DIGITAL CAMERA
 
Interesting story... Just went to iTalk to look at the D600 (which I was assured they had in stock for me to play with). Firstly, they only had a non-working sample, and all the others were in the box, so they couldn't even open one up.

The sample was hardly a good representation of the phone's quality... The sliding mechanism was terrible, and the keys were awful too. What's more, is that the box makes no mention of Edge, nor does the D600 pamphlet they gave me. And after glancing at a few reviews, it looks as though only the D600E has Edge support...

So, which one does MTN stock?

K750i > D600. I'll continue to wait.

The D600 has memory card slot aswell, it has stereo sound, 2MP camera, TV out

All the sony ericsons i hav ever come into contact with have given trouble(t68i,t300,t600,k700, all to do with screen and and joystick)

Believe me you wont be dissapointed with samsung
 
Glad to hear you singing Samsung's praises... However, my own personal experiences with Sony Ericsson have been nothing like your's. I do believe that SE are making the best cellphones, even as far back as the T68i. I've been truly converted.

As far as I can see, the only thing that the D600 has going for it over the K750i, is the Edge capability, and I have since been informed that the D600s that MTN have in the country now, are NOT Edge capable. The D600E will be arriving towards the end of the year, with Edge.

So, the K750i has a better camera, bigger memory cards available, better software... Better everything. Who's ever going to use TV Out ? Seriously.
 
Hey StNick, I'm with you dude, SE all the way. Also go check out www.gsmarena.com for some decent reviews. Personally, I'm gonna get the W800, it comes standard with a 512MB mem stick duo!!!! and some awesome 'sony walkman' headphones! Check it out.
I had the K700i and it was awesome so I reckon you can't go wrong with the K750i!

Check out the w900i now thats a phone i wouldn't mind. Pitty its still only 2MP still, otherwise pretty brilliant.

Also think overseas the D600 is a really late release considering the k750i has been out for about 8 months over there.
So D600 at launch is old technology.
My friend got a D600, the screens pretty good, the menu is crap, picture quality on a par with the K750i but definately inferior when viewed closely on a computer screen,the D600 is massive, i mean its brick like, and its heavy. my friends only had it for a week and already its shaking from side to side when its slid open.

in my personal opinion i would wait, as whatever you buy now is last years technology. But its ure choice, hope u enjoy what u get.
 
The problem is, the longer I wait, the more money I am wasting paying full price for my contract... Or is that now how it works? If I wait another 6 months to "upgrade", do I only have to wait 1.5 years for my NEXT upgrade?

Jeez you must be kidding me? Samsung is Shite quality. The K750 rocks...good software, good music playback, long battery life...
 
I like the D600, dont know much aout k700

Well I have had a e700, d500 and now z500 and they have all been brilliant.

The W900 does look nice I must say
 
I am a Nokia fan but i must admit that the W900 really rocks. I will definitely wait and hopefully it should be here early in the new year :rolleyes:

lol i do like my phones but its not that bad, i had e700 for like 2 years, d500 for about 5 months and now z500
