Hi Guys

I will be getting a Dell D630 laptop next week. I would like to know how the software will work on it. It has a built in HSDPA modem but I don't know if I will need to download the latest VMC software.

Another thing. What is the best way of monitoring my usage, I don't want to go over my monthly cap.

Someone mentioned a while back that the latest VMC worked with the built in 3G chip on their Dell, but there should also be software from the Dell Site.

There are a few 3rd party monitoring tools out there. NetLimiter and Netmeter come to mind.
 
I used to have one of these - very nice computer.

There is built-in Dell software, but I think that VMC worked better. I used to use VMC in any case.
 
Dell Broadband Mobile Connect Utility, I've had a few occasions where the laptop came with a VMC cd with the latest software for the 3g
 
You can use the VMC software, should work fine. I set it up for a client and it works with vmc
