DA silent on its irritating spam calls

Haven't received one call or SMS from any party. Hopefully that is the national opt out list doing its job.
 
I know where they got my details. :) I never cared to vote but I could see things going to **** in this country so decided to vote in 2014. Was told by someone to give them my details to show that I voted (this was at a DA branded tent), they assured me that it wasn't a political thing and just to show that I came to vote at that venue. My mother passed me on her way to the voting station at that moment and asked if I was signing up with the DA, I said nope I'm signing the attendance register. She said there's nothing like that and the people are talking crap.
Fast forward to 2016 and I've been receiving calls from them since May already.

If they want to recruit members, why not be upfront? :) I hate being deceived! Makes me feel like 'n nat pie! v_v
 
When I received a call from them, the lady on the other side immediately started bleating something about the ANC in Jhb etc. etc.

I told her to stop treating me and others like idiots if they want our vote. We're well aware of the political landscape and don't need an irritating spam call to remind us. Haven't received anything from them since...

I tried. Robot Maimane didn't want to listen to me though, so now I have "Should I answer" filtering out the spam calls. Thanks DA, you have made my world a better place.
 
I was going to say blah blah blah .. it might me spam, but atleast its spam for a good reason? but then i realised .. there are pages of people receiving sms's and calls, and not just one .. but 20?

so .. am i not important enough to be bothered by spam??

Your vote isn't for the DA; it's for democracy. I would vote DA even if I loved the ANC and hated the DA. Nothing is better for this country than for the ruling party to realise it can lose power if it doesn't do a decent job and for no party to win an overwhelming or even clear victory.

Thanks for making our country a little worse.

Agreed. Another example of how this "equal vote" democracy is flawed :whistle:
 
I got an ANC call last night on my cell-phone while on the way home. Chap was very polite and answered a lot of questions and although he seemed to be pressed for time, he was with me for a good 40 minutes on my way home from work.

I am not sure if the duration of the mobile call disappointed him or if it was my final question on how I can vote as a perm resident ....

At the writer of the article: Was the "No response" to your questions due to (a) you not asking, (b) sending the questions to some catch-all email where you did not expect an answer or (c) the DA actually replying "No response".
 
My spam box has plenty of political party spam but the FF+ has been spamming me with DA + EFF coalition is DANGEROUS SMS crap.

Had a similar call and the dude on the other end was well spoken and we had a good chat, not a 40min one. The call concluded with "So, can the ANC rely on your for a vote?" to which I replied "Unfortunately not. I think the ANC delivers better when it is kept on it's toes and my vote will be ensuring just that."
 
I got 1 DA sms about a week ago,anc has been spamming me. I got one 2 min ago again,about "we deliver housing,jobs,health,education and basic services" naming everything they have completely failed at in 1 sms. lol
 
I am so annoyed... DA tried calling me 4 times today! (Answered once, ignored the other calls). If you see this number, don't answer... its a trap!! :)

Same as Gary here. At least 20 calls but luckily to the cellphone that stays at home during the day. Have received about 5 of those automated voice spam calls though. In comparison only three spam smses from the anc.
