Its interesting to see that the DA had always argued against the extensive use of consultants, and said Goverment must hire appropriate skills, and yet it seems they dont practice what they preach. IMO, the use of consultants in Public sector is crucial, especially taking into consideration the skills shortage and Public Sector not being able to compete with Private for those skills.
But at least they must TRY and follow proper procurement procedures. R241m is a hell of a lot of improper/unauthorised expenditure...
