Have you been able to check the bitrate? Some of the DAB stations in the UK broadcast at 64kbps and lower, that's including some music stations

A 48k AAC+ should give you the same quality as a 128k MP3. It is a lossy codec, but remember that FM is not CD quality neither, plus you have all the analogue noise when you do not have a perfect signal.Have you been able to check the bitrate? Hi there, not in SA no. The JHB trial is closed but is in trial in CPT but its only your local stations as listed up in the thread. You should be able to get it on the internet though through phone or PCHi @Tector
I've been thinking about getting a DAB/DAB+ enabled radio for my dad because he likes to listen to BBC World Service. But from reading here it sounds like its not a station/channel he can broadcast. Is that assumption correct?
