Hi

I'm new to asterisk and having problems to setup a yeastar tdm800 card . When i run dahdi_genconf i fails

root@astrisk:/usr/sbin# dahdi_genconf
Empty configuration -- no spans
Empty configuration -- no spans

root@astrisk:/usr/sbin# dahdi_hardware
driver should be 'ystdm8xx' but is actually 'netjet'
pci:0000:04:02.0 ystdm8xx+ e159:0001 Yeastar YSTDM8xx

is there any troubleshooting tool?

Unfortunately I've only used Diguim cards but I followed the configuration/installation guide to the letter. It even generates the files for the dahdi.conf

Why do you *want* to use Dahdi anyway? You should only use it when you ABSOLUTELY MUST. Dahdi is old school and adds more points of failure. It's far more reliable to go directly with SIP or IAX if possible.

Usually you'd use dahdi only to connect to older telecoms equipment that you already have running in your environment.
 
You have to use Dahdi with TDM.

Try running dahdi_genconf -vvv then dahdi_cfg -vvv and post the output.

Use dahdi_tool to view your spans.

What version of asterix are you using? You do realize that Asterisk does not support the Yeastar TDM800 natively? You need to install drivers for it.
Elastix is the only Asterisk distro that has the drivers for the Yeastar TDM800 included in the package.
I struggled with Trixbox, and a few others before I started using Elastix. Its basically plug and play with it, much easier.

I been thru your pain. :D feel free to pm me for help.

Can you post an lspci for me? And what Linux are you running, it may be better to install Dahdi from a Repo.
 
It works fine with elastix where the driver is build in .
