Hi Guys

Has anyone used Dahua SSD drives?
I see Esquire has the 512 GB for R399.

Thanks
Kitty

if you dont value your data, then sure its a good deal.

Also it doesnt have a DRAM cache so copy large amounts of data to it will cause it to slow down during the copy.

Used a few seem to last longer than some Samsung's out there.

Weren’t they listed as possibly having Chinese spyware/back doors under the Hikvision warning that was released?

Had mixed results with these,1 failure out of 6 - within warranty
Keep a backup

I rarely trust SSDs, non-branded even less so, branded, even more less. Building up some HDDs in raid on a Synology NAS to keep a local copy of the non-clouded stuff. Not perfect, but alas.

Is Apacer any better ?

Apacer is a old company, maybe Taiwanese? I purchased a USB stick of theirs from Computer Mania back in 2008 and it was still ok the last time I used it.
