I have been wanting to get back into photography for years.
But I never know what to shoot...

So, I made an app (a FREE app), every day the app gives you a new prompt, or "moment" to capture.

Today's moment is "Chasing Shadows" - Make a shadow the primary subject of your photo, rather than the object casting it.
I am finding it is a great way to stay motivated and inspired and find I am really LOOKING and thinking about the world around me in a different world.

Here is the photo I took for today:

The app is called Momentary and I would love to share it with my fellow aspiring photogs and old hands alike :)
Right now it is in Beta testing and on Android only (iOS soon)

If you would like to test the app, be inspired by the daily prompts and have some fun please let me know.

In this instance, "Prompt" is just a daily instruction, moment or inspiration. Nothing to do with AI.


With regards to building the app, yes I did have some aid in the coding.
 
A little suggestion for addition @TheGiven. Tab/area for random subjects and photos not attached to the daily prompt.
The sluggish scrolling and not reacting have, for now, gone a bit better, not smooth and a bit reluctant on touch action. This is experienced on my one Honor 400.
@TheGiven, do you prefer bug reports on the beta test via email or forum?

To be honest, I havent had anyone else comment on sluggishness and havent experienced it myself outside of images sometimes taking a moment to pop-in, but I think that is server side upgrades.

I dont mind if its easier for you to post here, or via email.

If I add another tab for other photos, is it then not just instagram?
I think for now, I want to keep the focus on prompt photos.

Today's prompt is "Perfect Symmetry"

The first pic is from work while the second was at the gym.
I really LOVE hunting for the idea behind the prompt everyday.
