Looking for live TV coverage of the Dakar 2024. Any suggestions on live stream internet or IPTV channels besides DSTV?

Thanks, I dont have DSTV.
Me either, we threw ours away a few years back when Steve told us to
Steve Hofmeyr & supporters destroy their DStv products

I noticed de Melvius wears a leather jacket when on TV, suppose he make them for a living. No red bull or pep store banner.

Mr Consistency, Giniel de Villiers inside the top-5. The man is a metronome in the desert. Far from the fastest, but he just keeps on ticking where other drivers either go big or go home.

Looking ahead, this will be Audi's last shot at winning. They started with a 3-year program and now with their entry in to F1, they are indefinitely canning their Dakar program.

Full Ford factory effort next year, which should be good for us as Gareth Wooldridge is likely to get a drive. They have partnered up with M-Sport, who have run Ford's World Rally program for years. M-Sport are already there this year, running Rangers for Wooldridge and Nani Roma, harvesting knowledge on how to go about the Dakar and then for 2025, Ford throws their weight behind it.

Renault to enter a factory effort under the Dacia brand in 2025. They will partner up with Prodrive, who currently run the Hunter buggies for Loeb and Al-Attiyah. Loeb and Al-Attiyah have been confirmed as drivers.

Interesting situation in the T3 class. Runaway leader Eryk Goczal -and his uncle - were disqualified for running an illegal part discovered d uring an inspection on the rest day. They dispute this, claiming they were within the rules and now have alleged that a rival team asked the orgainsers to investigate their cars. Of note, Red Bull has a big presence in the category (and a lot of money) and had drivers sponsored by them lying second and third behind Eryk, so if there was a complaint, it likely came from them as they were ones who would benefit the best.

The Goczals run their own team, with sponsorship coming from a family business. So it was a case of David slaying Goliath in terms of budget and resources.

The Goczals state that the cutch gives no performance advantage (it is not a go-fast part) and the organisers confirmed this as well, so it does seem to be a curious thing to be disqualified over.

Disqualification Dakar leader causes hefty riot: 'Other teams wanted us out of the rally'

"According to our information, although we cannot confirm it, another team asked the race committee to check if we were complying with the rules. Their goal was to eliminate us from the race. It should be emphasized that Eryk won by more than an hour during stage six."

According to the team, the issue involves carbon parts, illegal or otherwise, in the clutch.

"From the organization's assessment, it appears that it is about the use of carbon parts in the clutch. First of all, to contradict rumors, we have studied the rules extensively and on our side nothing has gone wrong technically.

"Second, we have received confirmation from the technical race management that the use of carbon clutch is allowed. In fact, it has no impact on the performance of the vehicle."
