Dalaran - Ghost Town

Since they got rid of the portals I was thinking that a portal to the nearest link back to the mainland would be really useful. But I suppose that would make it too easy for the newbies to Northrend.

Just a curious question.

When you first enter Outland, you immediately had the FP fro Shattrath. Is it the same for Dalaran now? When you enter Dalaran, you already have it's FP.

I dont remember having the fp for shattrath at all. I had to run there. same for dalaran. cept I think I got a portal from a guildie?

Question:

If the shattering caused flooding in most parts of E.K. & Kalimdor, why is northrend not also flooded? It's just a continent like the other two, also connected by boats.

Because Bolivar is the new Lich King and Deathwing is scared of him so he left Northrend alone. Be silly to take on Horde, Alliance as well as the Scourge :)

Just after LK was released, you still needed to get to Shattrath to get the fp. My first character was like that.

Lately though, you get the fp either immediately upon entering Outlands, or at some point soon, without needing to reach it by foot. Both my DK and Priest was able to do it like that.

The reason I'm asking is that with class trainers and AH being in Dalaran, it suggests that they want players doing NR to go there to train. But the quest to reach Dalaran (if you don't fly, portal or get summoned) opens up at 74, whern you are halfway through NR already.

Yup. My latest toon to 70 had the Dalaran FP as soon as I put foot in Warsong hold. Ditto with Shattrath at 60.
