Damaged rear light cluster

My friend reversed her 98 BMW E36 316i into a pole today. This cracked the lens on one of the rear lights, but all the lights are still working perfectly. Does this affect the roadworthiness of the car? If she gets stopped in a road block, what are the chances of a fine?

Anyone know of a place that sells these second hand? I only know the BMW scrapyard in Athlone (Cape Town). It's the tinted ones like the 318is.

i know in PTA there is a shop called Beemow... they have new original BMW parts that are actually very well priced...
