****ing thing keeps semi-crashing with the error "display driver stopped responding and has recovered".

On a brand new Z170 motherboard with Intel GFX.

I know, it'll probably be fixed with a new driver, but that's going to take time.

I want it fixed now!

NOW!!!!!!!!!111!!!!1one!!!!!

I just installed a new motherboard with windows 10, Asus Z170 Pro Gaming, and have the same issue.

Get a cheapo graphics card for the meantime

Had that error with Nvidia drivers. It will get fixed eventually with a mini-update.

I have this on my media pc.
It happens quite often actually.
There's nothing wrong with the card as it continues to work after the error.

Windows 7.

You should stop drinking and think if it could be something else. My Intel drivers have HDMI issues even with a clean install. That was with a LGA1155 pentium graphics, think HD2500. By the way it matters what CPU you have since the GPU is on the CPU.

I bought a GT720 from Takealot.

Therein lies the problem.

Windows 10 is fine at work, but I am still rocking 7 at home on my media and gaming PCs.

It's no longer possible to block broken hardware drivers from being downloaded in TH2 build. Good job, msuckoft.

Calm down, relax, and learn your lesson.
Install Linux next time mkay?

I'm not into sado-masochism.

Reinstall? My win10 had a couple hiccups coming from 8.1. Reinstalled 10 and it was fine.

Fresh install. All new components.

This is a Gigabyte Z170N WiFi.

They're just sooo hot and sooo loud and my case is small and virtually silent. Then the passive ones (I have an asus <spits>) need the mother of all case fans.

Install Windows 7 :D

I don't know why I upgraded, and at this point I'm afraid to ask. Also afraid of what features I might be using that aren't in 7 (honestly, I don't know.)

I have the mother of all graphics cards. It has 3 fans and all sorts of extra cooling and power stuffs.
The loudest component in the case is the pair of hard drives.

I have no graphics card, and no mechanical drives. Mine is super silent :P
