Danie Craven's Springboks

If the government does make the protea the official symbol, I rate SARU does what SAFA does with their shirts. Bafana Bafana has the protea on the right hand side and their own black and gold bafana bafana emblem on the left hand side. So all SARU has to do is separate the protea from the top of the Springbok and replace the Canterbury logo with the protea, so we hav the Protea on the right hand side and the Springbok (which is SARU property and emblem) on the left hand side, just like Bafana Bafana. Then they can't say anything, or it will be discriminatory against the rugby community and downright unfair. Constitutional court!

I think if two or three test matches get boycotted (no one goes to the stadiums to watch the games) they will change their tune very quickly. It is all about the Rand at the end of the day.
