Daniel Craig Would Rather Kill Himself Than Play James Bond Again

Idris Elba's too big.

Spies are svelt, elegant, able to blend into the background. I can't imagine Idris merging into the scenery.

Yeah. I loved the previous 3 Bond movies. A nice reboot after the cutout Brosman era. But yeah - we don't make movies like this anymore. As long as Bond is not a woman. That trend is pissing me off.

Salt was nice even though the lead was a woman. Why does it piss you off?

TVguide.com....lol
Out of context, read the original interview.

"Can you imagine doing another Bond movie?
‘Now? I’d rather break this glass and slash my wrists. No, not at the moment. Not at all. That’s fine. I’m over it at the moment. We’re done. All I want to do is move on.’

You want to move on from Bond for good?
‘I haven’t given it any thought. For at least a year or two, I just don’t want to think about it. I don’t know what the next step is. I’ve no idea. Not because I’m trying to be cagey. Who the **** knows? At the moment, we’ve done it. I’m not in discussion with anybody about anything.*If*I did another Bond movie, it would only be for the money.’

Do you care who plays Bond after you?
‘Look, I don’t give a ****. Good luck to them! All I care about is that if I stop doing these things we’ve left it in a good place and people pick it up and make it better. Make it better, that’s all.’"

I miss it when James Bond had a sense of humour e.g.

Craig / Bond is too serious for me.

DC is a decent Bond.
The recent Bond movies were meant to show a darker side of Bond, ruthless and cold.
I think DC pulled that off quite well.
Although Sean Connery is my favourite Bond, I doubt even he would be able to pull of a "dark" Bond role.

Henry Cavil and Tom Hardy in talks to be next Bond.

Given Tom Hardys age, he may just do 3 or 4 Bond movies (if he is chosen) before he calls it quits.
Cavil might do a few more.

Hardy is more of the action Bond type, whereas I see Cavil as more of the ladies man. Need both these characters in one to pull of a successful Bond.

Fassbender....I doubt it.

Idris Elba.... he could bring a whole new Bond to the show

Craig / Bond is too serious for me.

That's the fault of the producer and writers not the actor.
Previous incarnations of Bond as a secret agent were actually spoofs and made a mockery of MI:6.

They needed to get serious and it works. For me anyway.

whereas I see Cavil as more of the ladies man

He sure was suave in Man from UNCLE.

WhoTF?

I had to Google the oke.

I literally just finished watching (for the 1st time) The Wire :o

I watched The Wire a while back and didn't believe the guy was British when I saw him in another film. Same with Dominic West (McNulty).

Again? He never did Bond in the first place. A British Jason Bourne maybe but not Bond

The DC movies are by far the best movies and apart from Connery, who will always be No. 1 simply because he was the first and Broccoli and Fleming were a formidable team, there is no other Bond that comes close IMO.

I agree Elba wouldn't fit in as a Bond, he's too imposing... Would make a fantastic villain though!

Brosnan was utter crap

What?

I'd say he was the second best Bond every. Behind Connery obviously.

DC has been good, but obviously since it's a reboot, it has a different feel to the others.
