Bovril > marmite! come on bovril from ox blood and marmite from plant blood, there is no choice!

Unless I have it wrong, the yeast is one if the byproducts of brewing beer... According to my sister who was with SABMiller, they send theirs off to the Marmite factory... Since she told me, I look at is as beer on toast.
Dunno which one it is (marmite or bovril) but they used to get their yeast extract from a brewery but the brewery could not keep up with supply so they started their own brewery.

I can't understand the need to ban it. It tastes crap.

Yeah. Let the government ban anything and everything politicians and bureaucrats don't like. Governments always act in the interests of the people, and we should be grateful that they're looking after us. More power to the State! Control! Restrict! Regulate! Ban! Ban! Ban!

True, I think many of us don't even want to know what is added to water supplies. Even worse in Nanny states where they allowed by law. And no I am not just referring to fluoridated water. I remember last year when I was in New Zealand they even had discussions to add certain female cancer prevention chemicals to the water. Problem was that no one knows what happens with all this chemicals mixed, not even to talk about what it does to food supplies after irrigation.
Also in New Zealand the government is forcing fast food to limit salt used in food, this is part of a long term plan to get it down to almost zero.

They dont need to, they just drive over the border. I use to do that when I stayed in France and Germany to get my "medicine"
Edit: Thinking about it, people in Flensburg should stock up, they are going to have a boom in Marmite sales
