Hey guys

I need to keep better track of my data balance. I've got a Galaxy S2 on vodacom.

Instead of dialing *111# and going through the whole menu to get to the balance, is there a single code i can dial and assign as a contact onto the homescreen? And isn't there some widget that can keep track of your data usage and somehow subtrack that from a said amount to indicate the risidual balance for you?

Thanks

Ok I've found the dialer code: *111*502# but still a widget would be better?

Hi Carr0t,

I wish Vodacom could show both your airtime and data balance when you dial *111#. MTN does that when checking airtime. I am on Vodacom too and I know it is a bit tedious having to go through all those steps to get your data balance.

*111*500#

You will find that these balances are not even close to accurate.

No, USSDchecker would be perfect but atm it's bugging out by giving a notification that says it needs a component which repeats even if you have it.

Aaah, OK I never bothered with USSD codes. Just use Onavo to keep tabs on how much data I have left and also use it to limit selected apps to WiFi Only, never really needed anything else.

Have you googled for other USSD aps, I am sure there must be some that work?

Onavo all the way. 100% accurate and it notifies you about any problem apps using too much data.
