I am with MTNSP and cancelled my 100MB data bundle on the 5th of May. There was still more than 100MB left on it. Therefor 100MB should carry over.

According to the MTN terms and conditions:
"When a data bundle is removed by the Service Provider, the data bundle will remain active until the end of the customer’s following billing cycle month." (http://www.mtn.co.za/Support/Legal/TermsAndConditions/Pages/BasicDataTariffDataBundles.aspx)

But come the 8th of May (start of my billing cycle), the whole 100MB was lost!

Anyone with the same problem?

Another one of MTN's renowed billing issues (putting it nicely...)

I wish you all of the best with this, but I think it's almost not worth trying to rectify with those idiots...I have seen some irregularities on my billing as well e.g. data that was used while my account was suspended!?

You think you have a billing issue? I just got a 3 month backdated bill with large amounts charged when I know I had plenty of MB's.
My bundle start day is the 21st of the month. On my bill there is no correlation to this date.
I am out of here. Hello Vodacom.

Lol you get a billing system wow i don't even get a statement from mtn at the end of the month . And i have requested one millions of times . i think the reason for mtn rap service is that if they don't inform you of yr data use and yr balance . They make more money . Im also on pay as go and never experience any balance upsets like going over my data balance ones balance is usually up to date . So its a money making scheme done on the down low from mtn .

Well, I am closing my bank account on Monday before MTN can take my money.
Will keep you posted as to the developments and the courtcase.
Nobody takes my money without a fight.

Dying to hear the outcome!

So i know that mtn is charging me a whole lot on pay as you for data since i have been complaining on this site . I use mixit and with 2 sim i been charged 10 kbs at a time and with another sim using mixit im being charged 1kbs at a time . I think signing up with royalty points was a bad idea . Heres the thing i gave one of ppl wrking (on this forum) at mtn my phone number pre paid (same id as contract ) so now cos im having beef with the network y should i be charged more on pay as you . Cos i am . And where i was been charged 30 kbs im now being charged 100 kbs a session . I will miss my phone numbers . Bye bye bye.

Guys does anyone from MTN ever take time to look at the issues we raise here and resolve them...or are we just desperate...even on hellopeter there are lots and lots of MTN complaints that we never know if they ever get resolved...and why so many MTN than Vodacom, which has more subscribers?

Nobody here from MTN. They ducked from embarrassment.

Maybe the best thing we can do is log a complaint on HelloPeter all in one go. MTN does answer there.

Or we all log a billing mistake with 808. But then again it gets ignored.

So to bring their attention to this, I think HelloPeter is the way to go. This way they will realize that they have a problem.

I will start a new thread on people that have been overcharged and are posting a complaint on HelloPeter. Just put your name in the thread. Nothing more. Then check HelloPeter for the results.

I don't know , if i complain mtn they still going to come up with a reason why im wrong and they right . I don't get why im been charged way out of bundle . 10 kb per a msg on mixit? I use to be charged at 1kb a msg on mixit (bundle) . Only down side i use my over charged sim for work . I want to go over to virgin mobile where surfing is 60 cents a meg and you get free sms's .
