Data bundle carry over

I am on prepaid if I were to purchase a data bundle would unused data carry over? If not when would it expire?

It would expire at the end of the next calendar month (i.e. up to 60 days from date of purchase).

Please can someone explain.This is a reply I received from MTN yesterday 4 December 2010.

"An MTN data bundle will last for a minimum of 30 days and a maximum of 60 days. MTN sends a message that advises the customer of the expiry when a customer loads a bundle. Additional bundles loaded in the same month will share the same expiry date as the first bundle loaded for that month with the minimum 30 day rule being applied."
