I have a data bundle with Vodacom that expires on the 23 of July. Now is that 00:01 on the 23rd or is it 23:59 on the 23rd when it will expire?

Who has the answer? Thanks.

If I deactivate a 1GB recurring data bundle this month, will the left over data still carry over to end November or must i use it up by end October?

mmmmm dont quote me, but I think you have to use it by the end of October. Will look into it a bit more when I can, but that is how I remember it working.

Thanks Ockie. Thing is, I tried to cancel my 500MB recurring bundle & activate a 1GB recurring bundle on Sunday/Monday via the android app before month end thinking I would be getting prorated data. This didn't happen & come yesterday the 1GB bundle wasn't available. Called the call centre and eventually it was manually activated. Shortly thereafter a 500MB once off was activated. I didn't ask for this 500MB & requested the call centre to reverse it as I didn't ask for it.

If they do not reverse it, I will have too much data & would like to spread it over 2 months.

Oops, I quoted you. :p

How it works with recurring bundles is as follows. If you already have lets say a 500meg recurring bundle active on your line, and decide to replace it with a 1gig recurring data bundle, then the change will only happen beginning of the next month. No pro rata. If you dont yet have a recurring data bundle, and activate one, then that bundle will be allocated pro rata for that month and be allocated fully beginning of the following month. Once off bundles always gets activated fully and no pro rata.

Ok, thanks, but how did the 500meg once off get activated in all this??

When I called the call centre on Monday they offered to activate a once off bundle as my 500meg was depleted. I declined & advised that I will make use of wifi until the new month.

Hopefully this 500meg once off will be cancelled soon.

nommer asseblief.

Had a look, and I dont see a 500meg once off bundle activated this year. Last time a 500meg once off bundle was activated that I can see on the scratchpad was December 2014.

Strange, this is what I see when I log in to myvodacom:

That is mighty strange. Had a look on the account scratchpad now also seeing that you have 3 lines, and perhaps it was activated on another line, but nothing on there either.

The screen capture is Detailed balances for <mynumber> only.

At the moment I only have 2 numbers, the other one ending in ...95.

I ported a number ending in ...88 to Telkom a few months ago when I got my S6 Edge.

When I go to Balance Details on the Android Apps, I see all 3 Bundles (200mb Smart S + 1GB + 500mb)

This is what I see when I go to Manage Bundles. The 1GB isn't there. The 200mb is part of the contract & will not show.

Can you see how the 500mb once-off was activated?

mmmmm yes I can. This is very strange. I cant see that you have been billed for it or where it was activated or by whom. There is just no activation or billing record for this. Seems you might have scored a freebie?
