Data bundle for i-mate Jasjar

I just bought a spanking new i-mate Jasjar. It works OK with my prepaid MTN sim card. Now I need to get connected to the internet.

So I visited 4 different MTN shops in different locations. The first told me that the Jasjar hasn't been approved as a MTN telephone so he couldn't help me. The last one told me I could only get a data contact if I buy a phone from him. The two middle ones had also different stories, each more ludicrous than the other.

SO can I get a data contract and stay with my prepaid option, or is this totally impossible. Any advice would be appreciated.

Yeah you can - Ive just done it on prepaid...

Dial 141 and follow the data bundle accounts - you can choose for them to bill you monthly or just buy a once off data bundle...

There is more info on MTN's site - what you do is buy and put in normal airtime, then dial 141 and choose you option...they deduct the money from your airtime.

yip....loaded R220 onto my pre-paid sim and bought myself a 350mb bundle, only catch is you can only load one bundle a month so make sure you buy the correct on first time. Twice i never bought enough data and had to go buy a new pre-paid sim for R4 and load new bundles
