On the 24 feb i bought a ( 1gig data bundle (on pay as u go) 2 days ago i checked my balance my data bundle expires on 5 april. wth mtn, shouldnt my data bundle expire on the 24 th of april and nt the 5th of april. on the 11 feb i used my royalty points and bought a 10 meg that according to my balance info expires on 11 of april 60 days so how come my 1 gig expires only after 40 days and nt 60 days. some body please help me i stil have 500 meg remaining. this sucks.

Well yes it should last 30 days with another 30 extra-roll-over days. Not 40 days. Phone MTN and inquire.
Or just download all you can to avoid data being 'lost'.
Why bwt would you buy data with your points, when you have data already, why not let them accumulate?
BTW the points are called 'Loyalty' not 'royalty'.
 
Well its supposed to be 60 days from the time of purchase however there have been times when I have only gotten 30. Its better to use up all data before purchasing new data in my experience. The system is prone to errors like this and may show zero balance but when re-checking it shows less than a meg remaining which is annoying if you purchase new data

Avoid using loyalty points for at least a year, to make them worthwhile
