Vodacom states it uses the LIFO (last in first out) principle for their data bundles but today I tested this and it did not worked as stated.

The recurring bundle is valid for two months and that loaded today so I added an additional bundle which only last 30 days which was to be used first. Now, Vodacom is taking data from the first bundle still! So the bundle I loaded last will not get used...

To begin with a data bundle is a moronic concept. How can it expire? It's not like bike or veggies that go off with time.

The service providers refarm unused numbers and aren't under obligation to keep it from expiring if it remains unused for an extended period. If a SIM is dormant for years and has no transactional history they often close the it and re-assign that number to another user who is willing to pay for it

Why are you talking about phone numbers and sims that expire? We are unhappy about data bundles that expire...

Everyone has been complaining for years about Vodacom using LIFO instead of FIFO. Now that they complied - first thread on the change is to complain .

FIFO is the correct way. Expiry date of bundles is a separate issue.
