Hi. I purchased the cell c data bundle on Saturday and have got it to work, however I have the following issue:
I initially connect to hspa which shows on my dash and the e1752 indicates the cyan light. While using it, it sometimes disconnects or it switches to edge after 5 mins. I managed to use it for a few hours last night but this morning the connection is dead. I left it overnight plugged into a sitecom 3G router which worked last night. It seems when I switch off the router and the modem reconnects to the network. It then works again. Is this normal.

Hi morkhans. On the laptop it was disconnecting and switching to edge while I was browsing. While testing this happened twice and after about 15 minutes of usage. I found if I disconnected, removed the modem and plugged it back in I was then able to connect to hspa. The light on the modem is cyan and not green. After the 2nd time I had no issues and must have been connected for about 3 hours without any problems. I then connected the modem to the router and used it perfectly for a few hours. However this morning I try to connect using wifi and the modem connected to the router and my Internet connection is dead. The light on the modem is cyan but there is no connection to the Internet. Does the Internet connection get closed if their is no usage for a period of time?
If I power off the modem/ router and switch back on, then I have Internet again.
Any comments to help as the speed is brilliant and I would like to resolve this minor issue. I have not yet gone to the cell c helpdesk. Sorry for the long post

Sounds like for the most part it's fine in the laptop? So let's focus on the router. It might be worth checking if there is a firmware update for the router. Also some routers have different dial options e.g. always-on, dial on demand. Check if you can set it to always-on. Could be that the router is disconnecting your when the connection is idle and then is unable to reconnect.

I found that a number of the routers that I tested wouldn't be stable with the E1752 without a firmware upgrade.

The E1820 was less troublesome and seemed to work with more routers (without FW upgrades).

For example, neither the Netgear MBR624GU nor the Huawei D100T worked properly with the E1752.

Symptoms were pretty much as described by the OP.

I sorted the Netgear with a FW upgrade, and as there is no FW upgrade for the D100T I can only use it with the E1820.

There is something different about the E1752 that requires a FW upgrade.
