Warning to people in South Africa who use Gmail

Security researchers analysed credentials belonging to 183 million unique emails and found 16.4 million that have never been in a leak reported by Have I Been Pwned.

Crucially, all the credentials analysed include email addresses, passwords, and the websites where users entered the data. Many of those websites are for email services, including Gmail.

It is important to note that this is not limited to Gmail.

He explained that stealer logs are the product of infostealers, or malware that runs on infected machines, capturing credentials entered into websites at input and relaying the data back to malware operators.

Any email domain is at risk.

The real question that needs to be asked is: How were these users exposed to stealer logs? Clickety, click-click.

Anyhow, I have already checked the list, and I don't have any email contained therein.

Google was once again forced to announce that it had not suffered a data breach after numerous news outlets published sensational stories about a fake breach that purportedly exposed 183 million accounts.
