Because you are charged for data, not speed. The more speed you have the more data you use = more money for vodacom. so you probably pay less than people with 3G/HSDPA.

Funny how WUG's have no backhaul connections to worry about, employees to pay, advertising costs to cover, SLA's to maintain, after sales service and support to offer.

I was talking about the physical equipment - is their Wireless really THAT much more expensive? why?

secondly, every company has advertising costs/staff/etc - but why should that change OOB rates to R2 a meg?! Does in-and-out of bundle really make such a big difference to them cost wise?

funny how the WUG wifi technology costs almost nothing, at much faster speeds, while the 3G towers cost "millions"

does telkom put up towers? iburst? how about neotel or screamer? or any other wifi isp?

an in-bundle price is say, 17c per meg - why does it have to be R2 per meg out of bundle? that has nothing to do with the tower costs?
