Data promotion stuffup

Last night i bought the 2 gig promotion. I am on topup and i used the money alocated. This morning i checked and i noticed that the topup money is still in my account but R2 less. I logged onto the system and it showed that i have have 2 gig available. I phoned the call centre and asked to look into it for me. I was told that my account is correct. So i got the 2 gig for free. The phone went dead and i looked again on the web site and then i had 4 gig and still had the R309 in my account. I still notice that more money was used if i connect to the internet. I then bought the normal once of 1 gig. The centre phoned me back and said that the call was dropped. He looked at the system he saw that i now have 5 gig. And i was told that this is correct. Wtf. I paid R267 for 5gig. Not bad. I could not explain this to the te h guy. I was on the phone for a hell of a long time. Now it was escalated to someone else.

Vodata or anybody please sort it out. I am not going to pay for this you guys stuffed up.
 
Don't confuse yourself. Your transactions did not go thru. That's why the money still shows in your account and you had to pay 2Rand or whatever for the little data you may have used. The 2 - 3 - 5 gig counter is obviously not correct. I presume it has something to do with the 2012/13 new year transition. Hope you will come right soon. At least you were not debited and received nothing.
 
Now it shows that i am using the data. The call centre guy told me that the 5 gig was loaded and it is correct.. When i told him i will quote his name he told me that someone else will phone me. Just crazy. Someone from vadacom please tell me what is going on.
 
OK...had a look and I can see only this:

That is the only data bundle purchase that I can see for January. I thought that it might be because of the double up promo that was running...but checked and saw that it ended on the 14/12/2012. R279.00 was however deducted as on my system your IN account balance is showing as R30.47.

Did you not perhaps recharge @ a ATM or inside a Vodacom Shop with other data bundles....as I do not think I will be able to see this on my side.

I see also that there is a service call logged and it is currently pending. It is in hand with CIC and the SLA due date is today...so hopefully you will get a call today.

If i log onto the app on my ipad it show that i have 4,88 gig available. i bought the 2 gig promo on the 1st of Jan and the call centre guy told me that it went did reflect on the system at 10:00 in the morning and it also relected on my side as 2 gig was available. the phone disconected and he phoned me back. then on my side it showed that i have now 4 gig available. but no money was deducted. i then bought the 1 gig one that you can see. Then the system showed i had 5 gig. He also saw this on the system. So i give up. i will use it. i have tried to pay for it but it seems my money is not good enough to vodacom and they gave me 4 gig for free. lol i hope.

Maybe you will be charged at the end of the month? Like the month-to-month recurring data bundles?

that's Vodacom for you. ask me it hurts...
 
i am still waiting for the rep to contact me. i pm'ed him as well. no response......... just sad. Thanks to Ockie for trying to help.

Hello Beri. I had a look again on your number and the R279.00 was added to your account. I read the memo again regarding the promo for these bundles and the promo applies to monthly bundles only...not ad-hoc bundles. Monthly bundles will be added to your bill @ the end of the month and will not be decucted from your monthly airtime that you receive in Rand value. Below is a breakdown of the promo:

New and existing customers on Voice Contract and Top
Up who activate a month-to- month Broadband
Standard data bundle between 15 December 2012 and 6
April 2013, will pay a reduced price.


How does it work?
How do I get it?
 The promotion is NOT open to Prepaid.
 The promotional price and out of bundle rate will
revert to standard applicable pricing once the
promotion has ended.
 A customer with an existing month-to-month data
bundle will be able to cancel it and opt-in for a
promotional bundle.
 A customer can only have one active month-to-month
bundle at a time.
 A customer can terminate a month-to-month bundle
at any time.
 When the promotional bundle is depleted, out of
bundle rates will apply until the last day of the current
month.
 Contract and Top up customers on month-to-month
bundles will NOT be allocated Night Owl data.
 A customer can purchase unlimited Broadband
Standard once-off bundles in addition to the
promotional month-to-month bundle.
 The MB allocation and price will be prorated for the
first month of the promotional month-to-month
bundle.
 Month-to-month bundles do not apply to data

so are you saying that at the end of the month i will be paying the fee of R324 plus the 269 for the 2 gig????
if this is true they can go...... so glad i will be gone soon

The only items listed on your proposed invoice is the 2Gig promo...caller line identity and your subscription for the contract.
