So last night before the missus goes to Zanzibar she asked me to please make some space on the camera. I started copying files around and with so many folders open I accidentally deleted the wrong. I was like ooooo shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit. About 6 gigs of pics are gone.

So I though lets go back to a previous restore point. Hmmm that wont help.
Lets tell the missus all the pics are gone. Hmmm I like my balls
Try the interwebs for some data recovery software. Hmmm might help.

Searching around I found http://www.paretologic.com/products/datarecovery/pro/index.aspx

Not free. But you could get one that has an extended trial. :whistle:

Been scanning all day and looks like it has recovered most of the pics so far.

So the missus is sitting in Zanzibar not knowing anything and I still have my balls. Bonus.

What other software do you guys use.
 
Yea get data back has worked for me before, cant remember if you can get a trial or you have to purchase it or something else...
 
Recuva worked for me, after I accidentally formatted a whole drive it found almost all my documents and stuff. And best of all, it's freeware!

It is priced at $69. It is not cracked. They had it free to download for a short period. I used it to recover most of my pictures and music on my Nokia 5800XM.

Believe me, I tried many programs, but this one worked.

Remember, Snorrie borrie worrie :p Don't restore to the Memory Card/Hard Drive where it was deleted. If deleted on memory card. Restore it to hard drive... :D

This has also saved my ass a few times after the external my misses' photos were on decided to be "Needed to format in order to access" -- Formatted it with the quick option, ran Recuva and revovered everything back onto my PC :D

Dit gaan baie goed my vriend. Ek hoop dieselfde vir jou. Bietjie laat onthou van hierdie topic, maar hoop jy het reggekom.
