Although prepaid users can't officially get data roaming in many countries, the Voda helpdesk seems to think it might just kick in automatically when I go to New Zealand shortly as long as I preload enough airtime on my data-enabled SIMcard and am prepared for paying upwards of R17.50/MB. Anyone had any experience of this? Can I count on it working, in the experience of other forumites?
If I do go this route, can anyone tell me the code/s I need to ensure my SA cellphone doesn't put me into bankruptcy by receiving any incoming voice calls or messages, which costs several limbs?
