My client must be one of the most exciting companies to work for in Pretoria.* They use the most advanced technology and stay ahead of the pack!* They are currently recruiting for a Data Scientist with good SQL skills, as well as Machine Learning in preferably in R and Python.

Job Description:
An exceptional individual at intermediate level is required to build and maintain a claims risk fraud engine using SQL and machine learning techniques. The individual will consult daily with business owners to identify fraudulent behaviour and to translate that into technical solutions. The individual is expected to take full technical ownership and to grow the solution over the next five years, including the appointment and mentoring of junior staff.

Type of qualifications (Minimum requirement):
Computer science; Informatics; Computer Engineering; Mathematics; Statistics; Actuarial.

Proficiency:
SQL, Machine Learning in preferably “R” and Python.

Work experience:
Minimum 3 years

Personal attributes:
Excellent communicator with consulting skills, experienced individual with technical expertise in programming and modelling.

Salary:
R500 – R700k negotiable depending on skills, qualifications and experience
