Is it possible to take a 3G data SIM (used in USB modem), stick it in a phone (running Windows Mobile) and use the data connection on that device?

Secondly, would phone calls be possible on such a SIM?

LOL. pathetic question.... i'm not even gonna waist my time explaining.

YES YOU CAN!, and YES YOU CAN!

Thanks for the answer, pity about your attitude though.

LOL, sorry dude...but like the saying goes - a stupid question deserves a stupid answer...LOL

It's just, think about what u asked.

U asked whether you can use a SIM to call, and whether you can use a Data enabled Device (The Phone) instead of a USB Modem for Data.

Sorry man...heh

No; he ask if you can make a voice call with a DATA SIM and the answer is actually no(DATA SIM is different from a normal SIM).

But yes you can make a data connection from your phone.

Whats a Datasim? a R5 SIM WITHOUT Calling features...LOL, how much do THEY cost?!

A SIM card is a SIM card is a SIM card....
Well thats the last I heard anyway...

Why in the hell are they selling this? just BUY a second SIM for like 5 bucks. + It can Call too!

What are they gonna sell us next?
Empty Bottles "Valpre", for us to fill up at Home? hey...thats an idea:D

Data Sims come with data packages! Its is sim linked to your data package or to your existing contract but only for data. Sure you can get a sim for 5 bucks, but it would be like a prepaid line which you would have to renew all the time!

Read that link again dude, its a usefull offer from vodacom
