Any recommended data usage monitor tracker?

I use an app called Data Usage. Works pretty well and can track 3G data usage as well as Wifi usage.

Second that. Daily usage tracker is handy and alerts work really well.

If it's for mobile/tablet I'd highly recommend Onavo.

Especially their App that can save you data by scaling images and such.

What do you mean because they Proxy your data?

I believe there are two Apps now for that very reason.

One is Onavo Count and the other Onavo Extend.


Has saved me quite a bit simply by image scaling, I can't see any problem with that.

I use this app too. I have zero complaints. Works exactly as intended. (Use it on all my iDevices. )

How do you mean? I haven't had it do anything at all, it just runs in the background no problem.

Read the reviews on the App Store. Evidently all your data is routed through their servers so they can keep track of your usage. That means all your credit card transactions, paypal transactions, and everything else, goes through their service. There are complaints of HTTP proxy streaming not working correctly for various types of video, etc. This all sounds very sketchy to me

I was wondering why Google News kept feeding me their Irish edition despite repeated attempts to set it to South Africa. Simple, that's where Onavo's server resides. Otherwise, no complaints.
