I used to have an ADSL line through Cybersmart and hardly ever went over 30gig per month usage. Telkom installed fibre in the complex and I took up the deal.

My problem is that my usage has escalated and most months it goes as high as 90gig. Some days up to 7 or 8 gig. Not much changed in my house, I am not on Netflix or any movie download service.

Is there any software out their that I can use to monitor and find out which computer and or cellphone in the house is using up the data.

The Telkom tools do not give you any details on which machine or what the data is used up for.

So no one in house watches youtube or anything like that?

Supersunbird.. :) yeah yeah, we do, I am not denying that we use more and more, I just want to find out what is going on. Same family will go away for a weekend, using 3g from Vodacom and we use like under 1 gig per day.. thus, i want to see what is using it up. Maybe the culprit is Windows 10, that is one thing that changed...used to have windows 7 and know 3 laptops with Win 10.

Telkom can't really see what's going on behind your router. What router do you have as some of them have features that can log client usage?

If you moved to a higher speed connection on fibre youtube will stream at a a higher resolution eating more bandwidth.

Wrt to win10 I have not noticed any real big downloads in the last couple of months, most of it's been frequent av/security updates (i use the built in av).

Are you on a capped or uncapped package and at what speed?
