Dont know if I am posting this in the right place, but here goes. I want to know if the Datapro routers are reliable and if going with a 512 uncapped line is a good option?

If it is the solutions as mine, 512 Uncapped, shaped with static IP's: it is a Cisco 837 with 4 ethernet Ports and 1 WAN (ADSL) port.

rather get the service strait from IS IMO, Datapro just resell IS's Router based uncapped and IS's support desk is FAR better than DP's

If you're looking at the othre DP solution, the one with the firewall / spam server, then you're wasting your time... I've made the mistake of selling that solution to two of my clients... it's the most unreliable internet connection you could prossibly choose.

I would suggest forking out the extra R1000 and get the uncapped over wire option (you go through the sat3 cable and not their satelites for bandwidth)

That way when summer rolls around including the lovely thunderey weather. You'd be happily surfing around instead of not having any international bandwidth due to the storm...

I am completely in the dark about the best ISP. What we need is an uncapped ADSL account. It is for a business, so usage is quite large. I would prefer if it is not wireless.

There is no such thing as an uncapped account in this country:

Only uncapped solutions

Option 1: IS's uncapped, they give you a router and local access is normal, international is routed over thier satalites so it's a bit k@k

Cost: (Based on speed)

512k: R1350.00 p/m excl. Telkom line rental
1024k: R2750.00 p/m excl. Telkom line rental

Option 1: IS's uncapped over fibre, they give you a router and local access is normal, international is routed over their SAT 3 connection (fibre) so it's fast.

Cost: (Based on speed)

512k: R2500.00 p/m excl. Telkom line rental
1024k: R5000.00 p/m excl. Telkom line rental

Wireless is never a good option, don't bother unless you're a home user!
