DataPro trickery or Datapro leetness?

I saw this wonderful looking advert on this site, so I clicked on it (the link is https://gladiator.datapro.co.za/CentralDB/Usage_ADSL/adsl_plat-10-03-06.php?site=MYADSL )

The add basicaly says R400 for unshaped unrestriced bandwidth. A quick look at the initial page shows no sign of of a bandwidth limit... so its at this point I get all excited and stuff.

However, on the "more info" link, it says there is a 3GB limit (http://www.datapro.co.za/products/adsl_standard.htm) Which if that is the case.. its an over priced boring offer.

So what I want to know here, is that limit for this special been run, or is that bandwidth really open all the way (no limits!) ?

Please say no limits... please say no limits...

Misleading advertising if you ask me. R400 per month gives you a 3GB of unshaped traffic allowance.

I really dislike Datapro. They bought one of the best ISP resellers (www.lantic.net) and turned it into a useless overpriced service. Even their evil advertising methods rubbed off onto @lantic.

Maybe it means u "uncapped" but pay at R150 per gig after the 3 gigs u pay for.

I won't lie that is a bit missleading but i've seen worse.

It applies to unshaped not uncapped. Their uncapped is more expensive, though.

Question is , what you have to ask , is what does this tell the average uninformed joe in the street that is looking for adsl. In my opinion then it is entirely unacceptable.

It is misleading you're right! But they never think of the average Joe on the street.
