David Green is the Chief Executive Officer for the V&A Waterfront. He joined the V&A Waterfront as CEO in 2009, following a career spanning a decade in Ports and Property.

Green moved from the UK to South Africa in late 2008 to head the V&A Waterfront, leading and master planning this mixed-use development comprising upmarket retail, commercial, hotels, residential, marina and the fishing industry.

Before joining the V&A Waterfront, Green spent 10 years initially working for Peel Holdings, the UK’s largest private property development company whose assets include the UK’s largest retail centre, The Trafford Centre. During his time at Peel Holdings, Green’s focus was on the Ports and Property portfolio, managing the Ports of Liverpool, Manchester Ship Canal, Glasgow, Belfast, Dublin and Sheerness and Chatham on the Thames. A large focus for him was master planning and managing mixed-use waterfront property development, as well as focusing on property investment, including the “Glasgow Harbour” and Princess Dock Liverpool projects.
