David Meads is the Managing Director for Cisco South Africa
David leads the financial services team and is thus responsible working with Cisco’s partners, to help large enterprise organizations in the financial services sector to realise the business benefits of voice and data convergence. Prior to this role , since rejoining Cisco in 2006, David led the commercial mid market team and was responsible for growing sales into medium sized companies.
David first joined Cisco in May 1996 as an Account Manager, swiftly moving into the Regional Manager role in the Finance sales operation. During this time he was heavily involved in the Global Accounts Program working with several of Cisco's largest Financial Services customers such as Reuters, Standard Chartered Bank, Merrill Lynch and JP Morgan Chase Since leaving Cisco in 2001, David spent four years working at one of Cisco's largest Gold Certified Partners - Affiniti, the last 18 months as UK Sales Director. Having worked in the channel community, David has a balanced view from both vendor and partner perspective in how we best partner together to help our customers realize the full value of Cisco's technology and our partners value added services.
