Dawncliffe ADSL woes

I need some advise desperately. My ADSL has worked for 3 days in the last two months. I have the Closer 4 option from Telkom and the voice service works fine. The Dawncliffe area was upgraded to mini DSLAM's earlier this year that are much closer to us than the exchange is and since then we have had constant problems. The ADSL will work for the day the Telkom tech does something at the box up the road and the next day it stops working again. The modem will just show a flashing light indicating it cannot sync. We have had at least 6 such Telkom tech visits and they can't figure it out. They have changed us to three different cards in the box and the same thing happens every time. Telkom ADSL support number tries to remotely reset the port but it cannot. Only a Techie visit to the mini DSLAM box cures this. I have had ADSL for 3 years and have never had a problem until now. My wiring and equipment has not changed and filters are in place. Any suggestions that I can pass on to the Telkom techs would be greatly appreciated. I have lost confidence in their ability to fix this and I am ready to cancel the service even though I have no other options because of geographic position. Many thanks
