I would just like to share a thought on the Cape Town day zero water restrictions issue. While I am not from Cape Town, If things ever get so bad out that way and you find yourself in a bind, consider getting a mobile aircon. It dehumidifies/condenses (Depending on settings) the air into water which is pushed out via a pipe in the back into a bucket or tray. If you keep your filters clean you could drink it (Test it just to be safe though) or if you really want to you could boil or RO it further. My 2c in anycase, hope it never gets that bad though.

Our aircon condenses nearly 4 litres of water in one evening.

Probably not applicable to winter, as humidity will drop very low in the highveld.

It can work, but it's not very efficient and hugely dependent on humidity. Not guaranteed.
