Wanting to migrate my WP site to another host but the DB is not importing correctly and is likely due to the current host running a MariaDB server and the new host running a Percona Server so compatibility problems.

Is there a tool that can convert to a compatible format, so to speak, or anyway else to export from the current host in a compatible format?

Which version of MariaDB and what version of Percona.

What fails?

Is a standard “mysqldump” backup?

I’d be quite suprised if a WP backup contained columns definitions that won't migrate.
They are both based on MySQL, and the syntax hasn't changed that much.

I was getting weird errors and when googling, there were articles about needing to use specific tools to migrate from mariadb.

Turns out the error was an issue when imp[orting via phpmyadmin. Importing via cli was fine.

Tried to delete OP but seems that cant be done
