Hi

Anyone using DC++ with Axxess ADSL? When I try to connect to hubs I'm getting the following message :

Your direct connect client has supplied an invalid IP address in a connection request (client sent 192.168.1.100, you have 41.240.10.226)

and other hubs are saying :

Sorry, connection request not processed because contains wrong IP.

Any idea what could be the problem?

it sending your local ip range (192.168.1.xxx) instead of your actual internet ip (41.240.10.226)...

no clue how to fix that however :/

I seem to have this sorted , but now all my connection to hub members are giving me Connection timeout messages. Is this because of the shaping?

Correct.Just found out how to get that sorted.

Is there any way to actually find a hub in south africa?! the only one i was able to find was openweb (and ofcourse the ancient postings about kick-ass.net on these forums).

oh yeah, and some other one that was crap and had absolutely no people. cant remeber the name though.

Guys, your eventual solution will be to switch to a torrent client. DC++ is a bit of a nightmare using a router, and speeds are not that good.
The only benefit to using any DC type client over a torrent client is that you will be able to access older content, though if you trawl enough torrent sites you will usually find what you want anyway.
I used dc++ for a long time, i have a much better experience, including mostly max speeds with my torrents.

Its usually a port forward problem. So Dc++ detects your lan ip which means its not setup right or you have not forwared any ports :-)
