You download DC++, any client (a good one is the new strongDC++ ver 2), and connect to this address: ibust-za.kicks-ass.net:20891
Yep, thats about it, you might have to set up DC properly, but that isnt hub specific, there will be tons of info on that on the web. If you use a router you need to forward the ports, you can find everything for that on www.portforward.com
I cant find the original thread.. would have been easier
Win XP sp2 limits the number of concurrent half-open connections to 10 by default.
With DC++ and a torrent client running at the same time, and contending for the connections, DC++ seems to get starved.
I increased mine to 150 and then limited the number of global connections in utorrent to 60. (the utorrent connections seem to be two-way => 120, leaves 30 for DC++)
It's not perfect, but the hub only disconnects when the distributed tracker (DHT) gets updated on REALLY big torrent swarms.
So next question now, I'm (very) slowly moving over to Linux, any DC++ Clients out there? I have searched on Google and found only 1 that seems to do the job. What is everyone here using? Or are we all Windows Junkies??
Well, i am finally on my new pc, and I finally have some HDD space to spare, so I am on the hub. The share size is going to be increasing, just i am very eager to get some new stuff and hashing all my 150GB takes too long, so hang on its coming
