dd-wrt on Linksys WRT54GS v6

Hi,

I just flashed my WRT54GS v6 router with dd-wrt24 SP1.

Everything works fine, but I cant create PPPoE connections from my pc anymore? Is it possible to set the router in bridge mode?so that I can create PPPoE connections on the router or from my PC?

These routers do not have ADSL modems built in.

What setup do you have now? Normally you have the WRT54G routers connected to an ADSL modem that is in bridged mode and then the WRT54G router makes the PPPoE connection to the modem.
 
I have WiMAX. SO it acts as a modem i guess. The WiMAX modem is connected to my WRT54 and my pc is also connected to the WRT54. On the original firmware this worked 100%, but after flashing the dd-wrt i can only make 1 pppoe connection from the dd-wrt router itself, but not from my pc.
 
I'm not sure if you can make PPPoE connections from the PC via the WRT54G. I would think that you need to be connected directly to the modem, unless some routing is set up on the WRT54G.

Multiple PPPoE connections on DD-WRT is possible, this thread could help out a bit, http://mybroadband.co.za/vb/showthread.php?t=81315

Maybe ask your question there, Gatecrasher is always helpful, he's the WRT54G/DD-WRT genius :D

I have dd-wrt v24, and didnt see a pppoe relay option. i installed the micro version... damm i cant get this to work..
 
Dammit, so now Im stuck...

It's wierd... I mean the modem is connected to the router(WRT54) through the internet port, I dont see how it changes anything, I should still be able to make PPPoE conenctions from my pc because the modem settings still remains the same, its still set to bridge mode...

and now I cant revert back to the original firmware, but a bugger...

From the link I posted above, you could try changing the WRT54G from Gateway to Router. Alternatively, it seems that you can install pppoe-relay yourself but you'd need to compile it.

No use now, I tried to revert back to the original firmware, and now it wont accept the firmware, so the router is stuck in management mode...
