Anyone playing this? I gave up on Champions Online last week mostly due to massive lag issues that have been plaguing me and I thought I'd give DDO a try coz it's free.

Turns out it's a lot of fun and really polished with great graphics (to be expected from Turbine I guess). Needless to say, I'm enjoying it enough that I might cough up for the VIP version.

I'd recommend it to anyone who's looking for a very good free MMO.

I was tempted to take a look but I have no idea where to get the client in SA? Is the only option download?

I have played the game a bit downloaded the high res client looks oh so spiffy :D Game is very well done and dungeon crawls with mates are awesome!

If you're in JHB, I can give you the client.

*edit* @ blaze - the dungeon crawls are a lot of fun, yeah.

I gave it a go and must admit I found it fairly disappointing. Admittably by the time I got to play the game I was so sick of it, I didn't give it that much game time.
List of problems
1) Couldn't register (eventually found some comments on the forum to request a different link to register and download).
2) Download site down.
3) Downloaded High res version got to about 3.7gb (3.8gb)and their download manager program bombed and had to redownload.

Game play was ok, but apart from the nice graphics seemed a bit arb. Will give it another go when I can get my friend to play it.

Luckily I was visiting a friend in London when I decided to d/l it, so it only took an hour to get the hi rez version. Registration was an ass ache, yeah. I ended up emailing their support and they sent me though a game serial, because the web site sign up is ****ed.
