Hey all

I was wondering if getting 2GB DDR2 800 will make such a big difference compare to 2GB DDR2 667. Is the 800 so much better than the 667?

Thanks

I dont think there is much difference, except in price :p

Especially if you are able to run in dual channel, the bottlenecks in the system will definetely be somewhere else...

Depends on the platform:

AMD is more sensitive to the slower ram where Intel isn't so sensitive.

Also DDR667 can usually be quite easily overclocked to DDR800 (I got mine from DDR667 5-5-5-13 to DDR800 4-4-4-12 with NO increase in voltage. It was Supertalent value ram ;) costs about R250 a stick for 512MB)

if you using a computer to do everyday things like word etc dont bother with 800mhz doubt will notice the difference

gaming 800 or higher is awesome

Depends whether you are overclocking or not. Higher ram is for overclocking for anything else 667 is good.
