DDR2 800 VS DDR2 1066

I HAVE A ASROCK G41M-S MOBO WITH 4GB DDR2 800.
IS IT WORTH ME UPGRADING TO DDR2 1066, WILL I REALLY NOTICE THAT MUCH DIFFERENCE?

I DO FIND THAT IF I HAVE TO MANY PROGRAMS OPEN THAT IT WILL NOT HIBERNATE AND GOES INTO SLEEP MODE INSTEAD, DON'T KNOW IF THATS A SETTING OR RAM PROBLEM

Look on the left side of your keyboard it's called "Caps Lock" :p use it.. hahaha

And no you wont see a difference at all. Suppose it also depends on what you use the system for.. But it'll be so minute, not really worth the price

No need to shout.

Get more ram. Most likely yuor page is what takes it over your 4gigs.
 
Question 1 is do u have a 64bit Operating System, if not, then more than 3.5gig of ram is pointless (for windows).
Question 2 If you have a 64bit System, do you have 2 X 2 gig ram or 4 X 1 gig of ram?
You should be able to OC your 800 ram to 1066, but I dont really see a difference on my machine to be honest.

1) OC-windows XP (SP3 for what its worth. Wanting to get Win 7 to better manage the Quad core cpu, well thats the idea)
2) 2 X 2gig

upgrade to a 64x of windows 7 to take full advantage of the ram

The hibernating problem is caused by you not having it enabled, afaik

also you won't notice that much of a difference, only slight performance boost under pressure.

Still not telling if its 64 0r 32 bit.

Only go 4+gig in 64bit versions of Windblows...And again like I said, I OC my ram to 1066 (by default its 800 in the bios), but then I also OC my CPU (Q6600 2.4ghz to 3.0ghz). I can ntice a differnce, and not that much, in my complete OC when gaming. When just the ram is overclocked I cant tell the difference. Leave the 4gig as is, its fine. Concentrate more on CPU and graphics at this point with Win7 X64!

It's most likely a 32bit, win xp 64bit was a total failure when it came out confining most to stick with 32 during that time. Agreed with the cpu and graphics being more important.
 
Std 32bit XP

Next on my wish list is graphics card(got a 20.5 inch samsung and do allot of photo editing) and Win 7 then a monitor calibrator.
