DDR800 backwards compatible?

Hi guys, I've been googling for this, but just want to make sure...

I'm selling my DDR800 RAM to a guy that's got a Mobo with only DDR667 support.

Now as far as I know DDR800 is backwards compatible with DDR667?

Is this true for all motherboards?
P.S. - He's only gonna be running the two DDR800 sticks in his pc (therefore no conflict that might be caused by DDR667 with DDR800 sticks)

You can check the specs for your exact RAM on the manufacturers website, but it is backwards compatible.
